We are keeping the same phone number but best to email.

This approachable sweater is worked in DK weight yarn in the round, with no seams or assembly required. You will knit a gauge swatch and then learn the basic construction techniques of making a top-down pullover including German short rows, picking up sleeves and knitting seamlessly throughout. This is a perfect introduction to seamless sweater making!

Techniques include: making a gauge swatch, German short rows, increasing/decreasing, knitting small circumference tubes on 2 circular needles

A beautiful all-over colorwork sweater, knitted top down. This is perfect for layering during the cold months. We recommend using a light airy yarn that offers an aran gauge, see suggestions below. The pattern is a chevron from 2 dense charts that will build your knitting intuition. Tam will guide you through short row shaping in pattern, setting up and reading the charted pattern, separating for sleeves in 2 colors and casting on underarm stitches in 2 colors while maintaining the pattern.
Skills Required:
Knit, Purl, Cast on, Bind off, Knitting in large & small rounds, comfortable with reading charts, comfortable with 2-handed stranded colorwork, fixing your own basic mistakes. Please note- this should not be your first sweater in stranded color work.

This is a 4-week class during which you will learn the fundamentals of knitting – knit, purl, casting on and binding off. You’ll learn the basics while practicing the different techniques and then you’ll make a super cute, super bulky hat that will teach how to knit in the round and incorporate a simple decorative stich pattern. We’ll finish off this quick knit with a pompom!

Whether you're an avid knitter who has never picked up a crochet hook (except for dropped stitches) or never worked with yarn at all, this is a perfect class! In these sessions you'll learn the basics of crochet while creating a scarf.

Techniques include: single, double, half double, and triple crochet, Foundation chain, scalloped edge & pattern reading.

These gorgeous mittens are knitted using traditional Norwegian techniques. Inspiration for the design is inspired by nature and is worked in fingering weight yarn while knitting stranded colorwork patterns in 2 contrasting colors. You’ll be knitting in the round on 2 circular needles and reading a chart to complete the color work. The thumb is picked up and knitted after the main part of the mitten is finished. The ribbed cuff will keep your hands cozy and warm all winter!

Techniques include: knitting small circumference tubes with 2 circular needles, chart reading, stranded color work, picking up stitches.

CABLED HEADBAND

This cute and warm headband will knit up quickly in super bulky yarn. It’s the perfect next project for beginner knitters or for someone who just wants instant gratification! It has been adapted from a free pattern found on Ravelry. Skills you’ll learn include cables, a provisional cast-on and a 3-needle bind off to add to your knitting experience. This is a quick knit and it’s a perfect item to make for yourself and every woman you know!

GWEDENN HAT

This classic cabled hat comes in 3 sizes and will knit up quickly in worsted weight yarn. You begin with a wide ribbed turned up cuff and then the body of the hat is done in a series of cables. The body and crown decreases are worked from a chart specific to the size you’re making. Finish it with a pompom and you’ve got a great hat to keep or give as a gift!

This crochet blanket design is based on traditional Persian ceramic patterns and was designed by Jane Crowfoot. Her afghans are amazing! The pattern consists of 4 different motifs; an octagon shape and 3 variations of a granny square. The stitches used are chain, slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet, and treble crochet in 7 colors. This is a blanket to relish.

This chunky wrap is a rectangular accessory featuring tiny blocks of color. The
overall effect is a striking and warm garment for cool fall days.

"Each row is worked comprised of a series of blocks and long
chain spaces. The rows are essentially worked separately, but
each block is joined to the previous row at the corners.

The work is never turned to the wrong side. Always keep right side facing."

TUNISIAN CROCHET - THE HYDE HOOD

No need for a separate hat and scarf, this stylish Tunisian Crochet project is a combination of both.  The Hyde Hood uses a basic stitch with increases and decreases.  All one piece.  Choose one or more colors for a solid or stripe design.  

Learn to read a pattern, increase/decrease, sew a seam and add an I-Cord edge.
