The Maple cardigan is knitted using 10 different colors and incorporates fair isle and intarsia techniques to create this intricate sweater.  This is a bottom-up cardigan, knitted in pieces and seamed together in the traditional method of sweater construction. The button bands and neckband are picked up and knitted at the end of the project.

The pattern was originally published in a Rowan magazine but is now available individually from Ravelry.   The techniques that will be covered are: fair isle colorwork, intarsia (use of bobbins), seaming (3 types of seams), and picking up stitches.  You will not only learn how to knit this beautiful sweater, but also how to finish it!

We have suggestions for 3 different colorways or you can be creative and design your own!
