Learn Tunisian crochet! Carolyn will teach us different stitches to make this beautiful cowl she designed for the class!

We’ll be using worsted yarn and a “L” Tunisian hook.

This beautiful vest is an interesting project that will keep you engaged throughout. The pattern is Orken by Penny Ollman and can be purchased on Ravelry. You’ll learn cables, a textured stitch pattern, plus other sweater techniques including front and back neck shaping, picking up stitches and seaming. It’s knitted with DK weight yarn, and since there are no sleeves, you’ll finish it no time!

This blanket is a fun, interesting and rewarding project. The pattern for the class is found in the booklet called Building Blocks by Michelle Hunter. It includes the patterns for 12 blocks, each made with different stitch patterns, which will then be sewn together to make a blanket.

In this first session of the class we will make 6 blocks, and in the next 6-class session, we will make the final 6 blocks. The stitch patterns will give you a great introduction to many different skills, which you can then put to good use in future projects!

The last 3 classes in this first series will be taught by Keri on zoom.

This class will cover the basics of learning to knit. You’ll learn how to cast on, knit and purl, read a pattern, bind off and sew a simple seam while making cotton washcloths and fingerless mitts. This is great way to begin your knitting adventure!

For first time sock knitter - This simple sock is a great way to learn how to make top down socks using the Magic Loop method for small circumference knitting. Feeling adventurous?, have some fun with contrasting cuff, heel and toe. We will also discuss avoiding “second sock syndrome “.

You see all these beautiful sweaters in the shop and in our social media - and you want to make one but don't know where to start. Well, here ya go - Liz will take you through it step by step...

Worked in the round with an introduction to Short Rows and some useful Pro tips, this raglan sweater has a modern feel and will be a great addition to your wardrobe.

This is a perfect sweater to make your own. Fun in stripes or loose and boxy (top left), or nicely fitted (right)

Yarn: Worsted weight (plenty of options to use contrasting yarn for ribbing, color blocking or stripes)
Needles: US 5 (16” and 32”), US 7 (16” and 32”)
Notions: Locking stitch marker, 4 fixed stitch markers (1 unique), tapestry needle, waste yarn or Barber cords.

Techniques you use include knitting in the round, simple fair isle color work, chart reading and either a 3-needle bind off or Kitchener stitch finish.

You’ll learn how to knit small circumference tubes with 2 circular needles, read a chart, make cables and knit a gusseted thumb. It’s knitted with 2 strands of fingering weight yarn and is the perfect first hat for an advanced beginner. It’s a straightforward hat with ribbing that will be perfect for men or women. You’ll learn how knit in the round and shape the crown of a hat using 2 circular needles.

The best way to learn how to knit a sweater is to make a baby sweater! You learn all the sweater techniques in a small size so it can be finished quickly. This little cardigan is designed by Lisa Chemery and the pattern is available for purchase on Ravelry.

The sizes available are 3 months – 10 years and it’s knitted with sport weight yarn. It’s seamless and knitted top-down.

The sweater techniques you’ll learn include short-row shaping, raglan shaping, sleeve construction, buttonholes and picking up stitches, to name just a few!
